Those of us who love sports in nature enjoy them in the winter too, but care and prevention are needed so that the health of the skin is not put at risk. So, even in the winter, before you jump into the outdoor pool for training, make sure, if you are light-skinned and it has strong UV radiation, to wear a waterproof sunscreen with an SPF 20+ index. Waterproof sunscreen also creates a protective film against chemicals, e.g. cleaning chemicals.
For maximum hair protection, wet it slightly, apply a protective oil (dry) and put on your cap. The greenish hue that the hair takes on results from the oxidized copper it contains, due to the effect of chlorine (acid). Once outside, put on non-slip slippers and wash immediately. Use the dryer to thoroughly dry your feet and the inter-toe surfaces to reduce the risk of athlete's foot (fungal infection). Use a moisturizing body cream, depending on your skin type, rich in ceramides, moisturizing agents and preferably fragrance-free. If you have oily skin, prefer cream-gel textures for better absorption. If, again, you love the mountain, the golden rule is not to forget your sunscreen! Especially in snow, the reflection of UV rays increases and it is easier to cause erythema and burn. Keep your lips hydrated with special lip balm products.
The "sports" treatments of winter at the dermatology clinic
‣ Hydration with mesotherapy. Choose branded, certified mesotherapy, with a proof label, so you can remember when what was done and with what material. Based on a special skin analysis you will do, the dermatologist will recommend options suitable for your skin and its needs. It is important for your safety not to "share" the treatments (syringes or vials) with friends and family. Finally, ask for the products to be opened in front of you.
‣ Texture improvement with nanotechnology peeling: Depending on the age and the focus of the problem on the skin, the new generation peels are done safely, painlessly and without the need for recovery, offering a uniform result at an affordable cost. It is the economical choice. There are peels for eyelids, lips, décolleté and hands, popular solutions for the first spots.
Winter is the ideal season for LASER and Fractional treatments for skin regeneration and tightening.
